So my F30 is due for an oil change and I'm kind of torn. The dealership quoted me a price that honestly felt a bit steep for what it is, and I've been thinking about trying an independent garage instead. A couple of friends swear by this place in Dubai they use for their BMWs, and I was actually on the bmw garage site to find out more about their oil change service before making a decision. Part of me likes the idea of saving some money and maybe getting more personal attention, but another part worries about whether they'll use the right oil and filters or if something gets missed. Anyone here switched from dealer servicing to an independent shop? Did you notice any difference in quality or did it feel like the same job for less? I'd rather hear from people who've actually done it than guess.
